Alzheimer’s Disease Research Study
About the Study
This research study, sponsored by Avanir Pharmaceuticals, is testing an investigational drug (AVP-786, capsules to be taken by mouth) for agitation associated with Alzheimer’s dementia. If you are a caregiver for someone with Alzheimer’s dementia, you may be familiar with the agitated behaviors that many people with this condition experience. These behaviors can be difficult to manage and can be very disturbing for patients and their loved ones. If you know or provide care for someone who experiences these behaviors due to their Alzheimer’s, this research study could be an option.
